Class Description

Tap Combo - One Hour Class
1/2 hour of tap technique, barre centre work using tambourines, maracas, etc. The children will learn a song as well as a tap dance to go with it. 15-20 minutes of ballet technique, barre center work learning grace, balance and poise. 10-15 minutes of tumbling on specialized gym mats.
Requirements: White tap shoes and any style ballet slipper along with appropriate dance wear. (leotard, tutu, tights...etc.)

Jazz Combo - One Hour Class
1/2 hour of shaking and grooving to the latest music while learning style and technique along with the newest dance moves. 15 - 20 minutes of ballet technique, barre and center work learning grace, balance and poise. 10-15 minutes of tumbling on specialized gym mats.
Requirements: Black flat jazz shoes required along with appropriate dance wear.

Jazz/Hip-Hop - One Hour Class
For the student 8 years old and up learning the latest dance moves incorporating technique, style, balance and Broadway Style Dancing.
Requirements: Black flat jazz shoes required along with appropriate dance wear.

TAP - One Hour Class
For the student 8 years old and up learning tap technique and style from the Old Time Hoofers to Broadway Shows.
Requirements: Black flat tap shoes required along with appropriate dance wear.

Ballet - One Hour Class
For students starting 6 years old and up. In this class you will have classical ballet barre learning strength, balance and technique along with center and across the floor training. A classical ballet dance will be taught. At times through out the year, lyrical will be taught which is a form of ballet dance.
Requirements: Pink ballet slippers required with appropriate ballet dance wear.

Pointe - 1/2 Hour or 45 Minute Class
*May only be taken following a Ballet Class and upon the teacher's recommendation.

Modern Dance - One Hour Class
For students 12 and up. An abstract form of balle, learning strength and flowing movements to music.
Requirements: No shoes are worn, appropriate dancewear

Competition Team
Teacher's recommendation required for placement on the team along with a signed commitment to the team by both the parent and participant.

Exercise Class - One Hour Class
Teen/Adult Class incorporating a stretching warm-up, yoga stretches, Pilates strengthening and low impact aerobics.

Cheerleading Class - One Hour Class
Learning all the latest cheers and sidelines including jumps, motions & tumbling.

Dance Recital
All students are invited to perform in our dance recital, however it is not a requirement.
